The couple went through a rough patch all through the show with Cole’s derogatory comments about her and his liking for his fellow Love is Blind reality star ballet dancer and digital PR strategist Colleen Reed which he openly expressed to Zanab. Zanab was very young when her parents legally parted ways.

During her 5th grade, Jaffrey and her family relocated to the Dallas–Fort Worth Area.

At the age of 13, Zanab lost her father while on a waterskiing trip in Lake Worth. Later, her mother passed away when Zanab was 18 years old due to tumors that did not respond to chemotherapy.

In June 2014, Zanab began volunteering to bag groceries at the Three Square Food Bank.
