Deadliest Catch Northwestern Jake Harris lost his Father, Phil, an immensely popular captain of the Cornelia Marie, in January 2010.

In the 16 years after it first aired on the Discovery Channel in April 2005, “Deadliest Catch” became a network mainstay.

For 17 seasons, the reality-TV-style series has followed the unconventional lives of crab fishermen and their escapades in the Bering Sea, off the coast of Alaska.

As a result, “Deadliest Catch” hasn’t been afraid to openly depict to viewers how hazardous this line of work is and the numerous risks that could materialize.

However, a few courageous individuals continue to perform their duty whenever it is feasible on the water.

For instance, “Deadliest Catch” introduced one of the show’s most well-known names to viewers early on in the program.

Who Was Deadliest Catch Northwestern Jake Harris?

Jake Harris is presently a member of Captain Sig Hansen’s crew on the Northwestern. He worked as a crew member on the Cornelia Marie up until 2012.

Phil Harris, a skilled fisherman, and his kids, Josh and Jake were originally introduced to viewers on Season 2 of the popular reality series Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel.

After their Father passed away suddenly in 2010, the sons acquired possession of the Cornelia Marie, their Father’s commercial crab harvesting vessel.

They both frequently appeared on Deadliest Catch until Jake suddenly left the series in 2012.

Along with his brother, Jake made a comeback on television in the first episode of Deadliest Catch: Bloodline Season 2 and then for a few episodes of Season 3 in 2022.

Although it’s unclear whether Jake will return to the show regularly, fans have expressed their delight in seeing him.

Jake Anderson’s Sister Chelsea Death: Death Cause And Obituary

Chelsea, the sister of the Saga captain, passed away at age 37 in February 2009 from pneumonia-related complications.  She is still living as the angel that everyone who knew her thought she was.

Jake Anderson has one of the worst backstories of the “Deadliest Catch” cast members.

Anderson was aware that Chelsea had passed away when they were at sea because he was then a deckhand on the Northwestern.

Just 11 months after losing his beloved sister, Jake Anderson was confronted with another tragedy. Keith, Anderson’s Father, vanished without a trace in January 2010.

According to Komo News, the 63-year-old was a loyal husband who had never spent a night apart from his wife of 43 years. His untimely absence immediately raised suspicions because of this.

He was at sea when Anderson learned that his father’s car had been found. The “Deadliest Catch” cameras were once more rolling to document all the action.

Where Is Jake Harris from Deadliest Catch now?

Jake had battled drug addiction due to his inability to deal with the death of his Father.

The 35-year-old apparently now works at the boats with his brother Captain Josh Harris after running into legal issues. His brother claims he is healthy and “working through this stuff.”

Jake is in a new relationship with a mother of two, and he told TV Showcase that he “loves being a dad, and he’s good at it.”

After entering a plea agreement in 2019 for driving while intoxicated and heroin possession with the intent to manufacture or distribute, the former reality star was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

The singer was detained in January 2019 following an altercation with a ranger motorcycle in Washington that resulted in a police pursuit, according to Oxygen.com.

In a previous Deadliest Catch episode, Jake talked openly about his battle with heroin addiction.

Following his release, he was arrested again in May 2021 for DUI, first-degree driving while his license was revoked or suspended, and failure to use an ignition interlock when needed, according to Fox.
