However, Carol Clay and Russell Hill were having an affair. In fact, Carol’s sister has also confirmed the news about her secret affair. According to Carol’s sister, prior to their disappearance, the pair had traveled to different campsites.

On the other hand, Russell Hill’s wife is Robyn Hill. They have two daughters together. While Carol’s sister, Jill, was aware of their affair, Russell’s family had no idea about it. Both his daughters and wife have expressed their disbelief regarding the situation.

Moreover, one of his daughters stated, “It’s been really hard on mum. Not only losing her husband, but also all the talk about Carol, and so she’s got both, she’s lost her husband and she’s grieving the loss of her relationship.”

Is The Missing Camper Found?

No, Carol Clay has not been found. It has been more than a year since she went missing. In fact, she was last seen in March 2020.

Moving on, an update has been made regarding their case. The police have arrested a 55-year-old man in relation to the case, but he has not been charged. Moreover, the police are questioning him, but no conclusion has been made as of now.

Carol Clay And Russell Hill Case

On March 19, 2020, Carol Clay and Russell Hill embarked on a camping trip. Mr. Hill picked up Ms. Clay on his way and they traveled to their destination in his Toyota Land Cruiser. Prior to heading to Wonnangatta Valley, they stayed a night at Howitt High Plains.

The next day, Mr.Hill contacted his friend through a radio from a remote station in the Alps. Mr.Hill promised to call his friend the next day, but no contact was made.

On March 21, 2020, Russell’s car was found at the campsite. While his car had some burnt damages, their whole campsite was burnt. However, the pair’s phone, sleeping bags were later discovered.  

Additionally, the police are still looking for them.
