Taras Kulakov Facts

Although Taras was born and raised in what is geographically a part of present-day Ukraine, he considers himself a Russian as he grew up speaking the language as the place where he lived was part of the erstwhile USSR.

He is a talented swimmer and trained in the discipline from the age of 9. He had even attempted to join the Ukranian national team as a professional swimmer.

In 2006, he moved with his family from Donetsk, Ukraine to Asheville, North Carolina. He used to work at a Walmart store until 2012.

Taras is an animal lover, a beekeeper, and has several cows on his farm. He also keeps numerous pets including Siberian Huskies named Luke and Hugo, an Alaskan Malamute named Gus, a Dalmatian puppy named George, Nigerian dwarf goats named Jeff and Joe, a white umbrella cockatoo named Gamma, and a blue iguana named Elvis.

His catchphrase ‘Safety is number one priority’ is often used in the opening and closing of his videos.
