You may be too familiar with the late Erin Moran, the actress who shot to fame with her role as Joanie Cunningham (the freckled informant and sister of Richie Cunningham) on the American sitcom Happy Days and its spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi. But maybe you may not know in detail and with facts who her husband Steven Fleischmann is other than the fact that he deeply mourned the loss of his wife.

Fleischmann isn’t as popular as his wife lived or even now that she’s late, but seeing as Erin was happier with him by her side before he died, it’s good to know all there is to it. has to know about the man who stayed with the actress for 25 years despite the difficulties that threatened their marriage.

The biography of Steven Fleischmann

Available reports suggest that Steven Fleischmann was born on June 23, 1967, to Donna Woods (mother). It is unknown who his father is and whether or not he has any siblings. Likewise, no statement has been made regarding his childhood life, the schools he attended and his interests.

Seeing that her life revolved a lot around the late actress, let us tell you a few things about how the two came together and their sad parting.

Before Steven Fleischmann, Erin was married to a Rocky Ferguson in 1987. Although married, Rocky did not want her to identify publicly with her on-screen fame. Every time they were out and someone recognized her as an actress, he would want her to say that she shouldn’t be coming. With this difference and others, the marriage between the two men ended in 1993.

Later that same year, Erin and Steven married on November 23 having met the previous year. Their marriage went through so many difficulties but they stayed together. Erin got into drinking, drug addiction, and partying, which eventually drained the money she had made in her career at the time. Even when the money was over, the addiction didn’t dissipate, rather it took her away from the successes achieved during her career. The couple lost their California home in 2010 to foreclosure that forced them to live with Steve’s mother, Donna May Woods, at her retirement home in New Salisbury, Indiana.

However, Donna quickly developed an Erin and her crazy lifestyle. She chased them out of her house. They then lived from motel to motel before receiving a caravan in a park. It was in this trailer that the couple lived until Erin’s death. There are reports that Steven Fleischmann has returned to live with his mother.

The only information available about Steven Fleischmann’s career is that he previously worked at Wal-Mart. However, following his relationship/marriage with Erin, it appears he has stopped working there. The reason for this assumption rested on the fact that during an altercation the couple had while at a bar, Erin implied that she was the breadwinner of the family.

2 children

Before their wedding on November 23, the couple had already met on April 22, 1992 for the first time. They then started a relationship which led to their marriage. However, during their marriage, Erin had no children with Fleischmann. Likewise, Steven did not have children in the past or after the death of his wife.

3. Divorce Rumors

In 2013, it was rumored at the time that StevenFleischmann and Erin Moran were going to separate due to the difficulties the couple was going through and the adverse consequences for their individual and collective lives. However, contrary to expectations, they remained together until the actress died in 2017.

5. Their first and last meeting (the death of Erin Moran)

As mentioned earlier, Steven Fleischmann and Erin Moran first met on April 22, 1992. Twenty-five years later, on the same day (April 22, 2017), Erin passed away.

Her health issues were first noticed in November, when she woke up to see a bloodstain the size of her money on her pillow. She thought she probably bit her tongue and pushed it away for nothing. A few days passed and the bloodstain happened again, this time even bigger. This continued until December 2016 and that’s when Steven found out that it wasn’t her biting her tongue, but rather her tonsils.

They sought medical help and his case was described as squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer caused by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal squamous cells). Erin started treatment immediately with radiation and chemotherapy, but the cancer got worse. She quickly lost her ability to speak, eat and even drink around the middle of February 2017, despite all of this she remained cheerful. She woke up fine on April 22, 2007, but died the night of the same day, as Steven Fleischmann clutched his hands while sleeping.
