Jeremy Piven is an American actor, comedian, and producer who is best known for portraying characters such as Spence Kovak in the sitcom Ellen (1995–1998), Ari Gold in the comedy-drama TV series Entourage (2004-2011), Harry Selfridge in the period drama TV series Mr. Selfridge (2013-2016), and Jeffrey Tanner in the drama TV series Wisdom of the Crowd (2017-2018).

Jeremy had graduated from the Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Illinois. During his time in Illinois, he had undergone training at the Piven Theatre Workshop, a professional theatre company and a training center founded by his parents. As a teenager, he had also attended the Harand Camp of the Theatre Arts, a performing arts summer camp in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
After his high school graduation, he had attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, from where he had dropped out after his sophomore year to attend New York University‘s Tisch School of the Arts. He had left Tisch in his senior year to pursue an acting career. He had then spent a semester at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut.
