Jack Matthew Lauer (aka Jack Matt) was born on 26. June 2001 in New York City, New York, United States of America. The American citizen is the eldest of the three children of Matthew Todd Lauer and Annette Roque.

Jack Matthew Lauer has two younger siblings, a sister and brother named Romy and Thijs. His sister was born on October 2, 2003 and his brother on November 28, 2006.

Like her mother, Romy is a rider. She has competed in various equestrian competitions such as the Hampton Classic and other equestrian shows in the area. With an equestrian facility called Bright Side Farm bought by Jack’s parents, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she turned out to be one of the best riders of the future.

Jack’s father was married twice. He was first married to a television producer named Nancy Alspaugh, but their marriage, which produced no children, lasted from 1982 to 1989. This gave Jack’s mother, Annette Roque, room to enter the scene.

His parents met on a blind date in July 1997 and although at first glance it was not about love, they had some kind of connection and subsequently began dating. After five months, Jack’s father asked his mother the big question and she said yes. They married on October 3, 1998 at the Water Mill in New York.

Jack Matthew Lauer is the grandson of Marilyn Lauer ( née Gentry) and Jay Robert Lauer (his father’s parents). His paternal grandmother was a boutique owner while his paternal grandfather ran a bicycle company. Unfortunately, Jack did not meet her married when they divorced in his father’s young days.

While his paternal grandfather was from Romania, his maternal grandfather and mother were from Indonesia and Holland, respectively.
