Jensen began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1960s, working as a special effects technician on the television series The Wild Wild West. He went on to work on a number of other television shows, including The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, and The A-Team. In the 1980s, Jensen worked as a special effects supervisor on the films The Howling, The Terminator, and The Goonies. He also worked as an art director on the films The Lost Boys and The Blob. In the 1990s, Jensen worked as a special effects supervisor on the films The Mask, Batman Forever, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. He also worked as an art director on the films The Rock and Armageddon. Jensen has won two Emmy Awards for his work on the television series The X-Files.
