Rising NBA star Jaden McDaniels is currently a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves. In his senior year at Federal Way High School in Washington, McDaniels, who was born on September 29, 2000, won the titles of McDonald’s All-American and Washington Gatorade Player of the Year. He was regarded as one of the best athletes in the 2019 class.

Given his stellar high school career, McDaniels entered the college basketball season with high hopes. With 18 points and seven rebounds in his collegiate debut, he helped the Washington Huskies defeat Baylor 67-64. He maintained his impressive play throughout the entire season, starting 21 games and averaging 13 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest as a rookie. Midway through conference play, he started playing off the bench, but he was still an important member of the team.

McDaniels declared for the 2020 NBA draft after his freshman year. The Los Angeles Lakers made him their 28th overall pick in the first round, but later traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Dennis Schröder. The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired McDaniels in a subsequent trade, where he is currently playing.

McDaniels, who is only 22 years old, has already established himself as a gifted and adaptable player with a promising NBA future. He is sure to continue making a name for himself in the league thanks to his impressive on-court abilities and commitment to his craft.

The elder brother of Jaden McDaniels is Jalen McDaniels. Jalen, who was born on January 31st, 1998, plays basketball professionally for the NBA. He was well-known for his on-court versatility and athleticism while playing college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs.

The Charlotte Hornets selected Jalen in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft, and he quickly agreed to a multi-year contract. In a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves in October 2019, he made his NBA debut while sitting on the bench. Jalen played in 37 games during his rookie season, scoring 3.3 points and pulling down 1.9 rebounds.

Jalen had a game-changing performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder in April 2021 while playing for the Hornets in his second season, tallying a season-high 21 points. He kept getting better throughout the season, reaching a new career-high of 26 points against the Boston Celtics in January 2023.

Jalen was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers on February 9, 2023, as part of a four-team deal that also included the Portland Trail Blazers and the New York Knicks. Just two days later, he made his 76ers debut, contributing five points and five rebounds in a victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Despite the fact that Jalen and Jaden play for different teams, their enduring love for basketball and strong brotherly relationship endures.
