Alisha Weir and Her Parents Lived In Dublin
Young Irish actress Alisha Weir lives with her parents, Jenny and Mark Weir, in Dublin. Born on September 26, 2009, the thirteen-year-old grew up in the Knocklyon area of Dublin.
Alisha’s father, Mark, is a Managing Director at Vector Motors, an automobile dealership in Goatstown, Dublin, Ireland. He joined the motor company in 2003 as a business manager. Before joining the motor trade, he worked in the life assurance industry for thirteen years.
While her mother, Jenny, is a hairstylist. Alisha’s parents recently celebrated their silver jubilee year anniversary. The couple share three daughters, Alisha, is their youngest.
They are always supportive of her career in the TV and Film industry despite Alisha already working at the age when most children are busy being carefree students.
The Weir couple accompanied their daughter, Alisha, at the Irish Premiere of Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda the Musical at the Cork International Film Festival in the Everyman Theatre, Cork.

Alisha Weir Grew Up Alongside Two Older Sisters
Alisha Weir is the youngest sibling in her family, with two older sisters, Katie and Emma Jane Weir. Like Alisha, her sisters are also passionate about music and drama.
Her older sister Katie Weir is a 21-year-old Soprano Singer and a Musical Theatre performer. She graduated in Musical Theatre from Urdang, a performing arts academy based in Islington, London.
Repped by Home Talent Group, she has featured in several Dublin Panto productions and performed as part of an Opera group in arenas around the UK and Ireland, according to Daily Mail.
Sisters Katie and Alisha have worked with each other on-screen as well. They appeared on Irish TV in 2018 on Donncha’s Two Talented, which sees talented children teaching adults.
Alisha’s middle sister Emma Jane joined the University of Dublin film, music, and drama. Although her parents Mark and Jenny, were interested in their daughters joining sports, all three have taken a liking to music and theatres.
Alisha’s sisters influenced her life greatly as the actress grew up following her sisters and joined whenever older sisters practiced what they learned in their classes.
“She was always natural to it. She used to follow the girls around, singing. She used to go into the singing classes with the two girls, and she would know all the words of all the songs as if she was doing the class herself.” Her mom , Jeny, said to the Irish Examiner.

Alisha Weir sparkles as Matilda Wormwood in Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical. The actress was an 11-year-old drama student when she got roped into the titular role of Matilda.
She has been able to catch the audience’s eyes since the film’s world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 5, 2022. The film had its cinematic release in the UK by Sony Pictures Entertainment through TriStarsPictures on November 25, 2022.
Alisha was selected among the thousand other of other girls auditioning for Matilda. She had sent a self-tape audition upon the recommendation of her drama coach Maureen of Maureen V Ward Talent Agency Ireland.
The Musical is also coming to Netflix on Christmas Day 2022, after it releases in the US theatres on December 9, 2022. The actress also shared the news of her being cast in the Netflix musical via Instagram in 2021.
